Memory Care

Specialized care for seniors who suffer from cognitive disorders.

About Memory Care

With time, your loved ones may develop cognitive, emotional, and physical illnesses that will create obstacles for them as they journey through their daily lives.

To prevent injuries or misconceptions of what to expect, take the correct steps towards making sure they will be cared for and tended to safely.

What is the Memory Care Solution?

Memory Care is specialized for seniors who suffer from cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases. Seniors live in a controlled environment that offers a safe, structured environment with set routines to lower stress levels. The staff:

  • Provides meals.
  • Assists with personal care tasks, as needed.
  • Regularly checks in with residents.
  • Ensures residents are getting to their meals.
  • Escorts residents to social activities.

Is Memory Care the Right Solution for Your Loved One? It may be time to look into memory care services for your loved one if:

  • They do not turn off stoves, ovens, or faucets.
  • They become suspicious of others.
  • They take the wrong amounts or incorrect medications.
  • They become easily lost while near their own home.
  • You are unsure how your loved one would react in an emergency.
  • You are no longer able to provide the level of care your loved one needs.

Because people with dementia are prone to wander, Memory Care facilities have alarmed doors, elevators that require a code, and enclosed outdoor spaces to keep residents on site.  Many offer tracking bracelets that give residents the freedom to explore but still allow staff to monitor their location.
