As I began my search for housing for my friend who would soon be discharged from a skilled nursing facility, I called another senior service, and they recommended I look at assisted living places. I later was referred to Jeff Chapman and, after a quick but detailed discussion about my friend, Jeff advised that a residential care home was what she needed since she was bedridden and needed health care, not social activities. Jeff emailed a list of 6 potential places itemizing key info such as community type, private or shared room or bath, monthly rent, community fee, staff info, health services provided, ambulation capabilities, incontinence needs accepted, etc. During our walkthroughs, he explained my needs to the provider, emphasized key items from his summary and answered my many questions. At a couple of places, the provider even offered a room for a lower price. I initially selected a property but, in our discussions with the owners, they gave differing prices, so I decided on my second choice which is a lovely board and care that my friend very much likes, and I am very happy with the care she is receiving. I highly recommend Jeff’s services as he is honest, detail oriented and works for you as a customer while also being helpful to the providers, giving them feedback on their community.

Our 97-year-old, widower father fell three times in a 24-hour period at his home of 58 years. After a five-day stint in the ICU at Tri-City Medical Center, I received a call from his case manager who recommended that I phone Jeff at Chapman Senior Services. My sisters and I anticipated that we'd be Googling various assisted living facilities and that we'd be on our own during a very stressful time. The phone call to Jeff was the best decision we could've made. He immediately set up a tour of three top flight residential living places in the Carlsbad/Oceanside area and a team of his "trusted" professionals. We were able to choose a place for Dad after the morning tour. Jeff quickly put us in touch with a Elena, whose team moved Dad's furniture to his new place, Angela, who specializes in VA benefits, and Cari Ann, who will help us sell Dad's house. Each of these women has been so caring, honest and helpful. Without Jeff, we never would have found them.
